April HenningtonApril Hennington began cheering at the age of 5 years old with the Taylor Pop Warner Cheerleaders. Coach April continued cheering at Taylor Middle School, becoming co-captain of her squad along with qualifying for All-Star Cheerleader 2 years in a row where she participated in the Foleys Thanksgiving Day Parade in Houston Texas. She later made the nationally ranked competitive Taylor High School cheerleading squad and was invited to be on the Varsity Team as a freshman. Coach April not only exceeded in cheerleading, but played Varsity Basketball all fours years, volleyball, and track. Her many accomplishments are listed below:

After moving to New York in September 2004, Coach April volunteered as a cheerleading coach at a local non-profit in the Bronx. After one year of working with them, she became the co-founder of Fusion of Youth and is the head coach for the Cheer/Dance/Step program. In addition to her teams with Fusion, Coach April is a sports instructor at the Harlem YMCA, the head cheerleading coach at The College of Mount Saint Vincent, and has established after school programs with local institutions in the Manhattan area.
